Honey Garlic Lemon Chicken Thigh

 


Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup honey

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.

    • Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  2. Sear the Chicken:

    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Place chicken skin-side down and sear for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.

    • Flip and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. Make the Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

    • Stir in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes (if using).

    • Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.

  4. Combine & Cook:

    • Return the chicken to the pan, skin-side up. Spoon the sauce over the chicken.

    • Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes on low heat until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temp 165°F ).
