Creamy Beef-Stuffed Pastries

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra cheesiness)

  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Soy sauce

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (or crescent roll dough, puff pastry, or homemade dough)

  • 1 egg (for egg wash) Add 3 tbsp water.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.

  3. Add flavor: Stir in the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened (about 2 minutes). Add Soy sauce, pepper, and paprika.

  4. Make it creamy: Reduce heat to low, then mix in the cream cheese and shredded cheddar (if using). Stir until melted and combined. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  5. Prepare the dough: If using biscuit dough, flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch circle. I made my own dough, if you would like to do the same go here and follow the instruction for the dough part then come back here to finish.

  6. Fill & seal: Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each dough piece. Fold over and pinch to seal.

  7. Egg wash: Beat the egg with a little water and brush over the pastries for a golden finish.

  8. Bake: Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes (or until golden brown).

  9. Cool slightly & enjoy! I made a bunch of there and stored some in my freeze then later I put it in my air fryer for 15 to 20 min.
