Ingredients:
-
1 lb ground beef
-
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
-
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra cheesiness)
-
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tsp Soy sauce
-
1/2 tsp black pepper
-
1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
-
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (or crescent roll dough, puff pastry, or homemade dough)
-
1 egg (for egg wash) Add 3 tbsp water.
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
-
Add flavor: Stir in the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened (about 2 minutes). Add Soy sauce, pepper, and paprika.
-
Make it creamy: Reduce heat to low, then mix in the cream cheese and shredded cheddar (if using). Stir until melted and combined. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
-
Prepare the dough: If using biscuit dough, flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch circle. I made my own dough, if you would like to do the same go here and follow the instruction for the dough part then come back here to finish.
-
Fill & seal: Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each dough piece. Fold over and pinch to seal.
-
Egg wash: Beat the egg with a little water and brush over the pastries for a golden finish.
-
Bake: Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes (or until golden brown).
-
Cool slightly & enjoy! I made a bunch of there and stored some in my freeze then later I put it in my air fryer for 15 to 20 min.
